So how do you deal with all of this snow?
1. Plan ahead- OK- your not a planner but when you can't control mother nature you have to control the controllables like- shoveling out of your home, getting up early to get to work/school/appointments on time, finding a parking spot (good luck).
2. Self-Care- In the midst of all the planning take some quiet time for you. Just because the weather is slowing you down, this is the time you NEED to continue doing the things that help "soothe" you. Is it yoga, running, strength classes, massage or as simple as meditation? Slowing down your mind is going to help you through the "stressful" times so don't stop taking care of you! If your shoveling yourself out like myself for the last three weeks its really important to be foam rolling, stretching and getting massages if possible.
3. Nourishment- Nourishment is part of self-care, but specifically nutrition is critical as it affects your mood on a daily basis. We are all different and have different needs when it comes to diet but my point is make sure you still get to the grocery store and eat whole foods.
